​One of the park’s biggest attractions is its cherry blossoms, especially the Somei Yoshino variety, which bloom in the spring. Sotobori Park is a well-known spot for hanami (flower viewing), drawing many visitors during the season. Just before leaving the UK, I captured the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Although I had always associated cherry blossoms strongly with Japan, I found that those in the UK are equally beautiful and graceful. I hope that one day I will have the chance to see these blossoms in full bloom again.
