21st Aug 2025: Tokyo Tower from The Sky Lobby at Azabudai Hills

Image
The Sky Lobby at Azabudai Hills is a panoramic observation space located on the 33rd and 34th floors of the Mori JP Tower, Tokyo’s newest landmark. Situated approximately 250 meters above ground in Azabudai, Minato Ward, the Sky Lobby offers sweeping views of iconic sights such as Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge, and Roppongi Hills. From this vantage point, Tokyo Tower appears below eye level—an extraordinary perspective rarely experienced from other observation decks. If you have the chance to visit one of the restaurants or cafés within the tower, photography from the Sky Lobby is permitted and highly recommended. 24th July 2025: Tokyo Tower from Shiba Park

Image
Graceful and Captivating Beauty I recently had the opportunity to photograph Tokyo Tower using my handheld Nikon D40x. Most of the shots were taken from around Shiba Park and Zojoji Temple. Due to the significant contrast between the tower and its background, I found it challenging to determine the optimal exposure. I set the ISO to 400 to minimize noise and carefully adjusted for camera shake, which made the process quite demanding —but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Tokyo Tower, modeled after the Eiffel Tower in Paris, possesses a graceful and captivating beauty. While Tokyo Skytree is also stunning, Tokyo Tower exudes an elegant dignity that gives its charm a refined quality - making me feel compelled to photograph it time and again. 23rd June 2025: Tokyo Tower One of the most iconic landmarks in Tokyo

Image
From my office, Tokyo Tower stood gracefully against the sky, so I couldn’t resist capturing the moment. Though Tokyo Skytree is impressive in its own right, I find myself drawn to the timeless elegance of Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Tower, located in Minato City, Tokyo, is a 333-meter-tall self-supporting steel structure and one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks. Completed in 1958, it was originally built to serve as a broadcasting tower for television and radio signals. The tower was designed by renowned architect Tachū Naitō, often referred to as the “Doctor of Towers.” While inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Tokyo Tower incorporates earthquake-resistant engineering unique to Japan. The construction took approximately one and a half years and involved over 220,000 workers.  Tokyo Tower features two observation decks: the Main Deck at 150 meters and the Top Deck at 250 meters. The Top Deck was renovated in 2018 and now offers a futuristic atmosphere with LED lighting and mirrored surf...
