The Rainbow Bridge is a 798-meter-long suspension bridge connecting Shibaura in Minato City, Tokyo, to Odaiba. Its official name is the "Tokyo Port Connecting Bridge," but it has become widely known as the "Rainbow Bridge" due to its beautiful nighttime illumination. The bridge opened in 1993 and has since become a beloved landmark of Tokyo. The bridge features a two-tiered structure. The upper deck is used by the Shuto Expressway Route 11, while the lower deck accommodates a general road, the Yurikamome automated transit system, and a pedestrian walkway. Pedestrians can cross the bridge using the "Rainbow Promenade," a dedicated walkway. There are two routes: the south side offers views of Odaiba’s coastline, Mount Fuji, and Tokyo Bay, while the north side provides a stunning panorama of Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, and the city skyline.
