Graceful and Captivating Beauty I recently had the opportunity to photograph Tokyo Tower using my handheld Nikon D40x. Most of the shots were taken from around Shiba Park and Zojoji Temple. Due to the significant contrast between the tower and its background, I found it challenging to determine the optimal exposure. I set the ISO to 400 to minimize noise and carefully adjusted for camera shake, which made the process quite demanding —but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. ​​​​Tokyo Tower, modeled after the Eiffel Tower in Paris, possesses a graceful and captivating beauty. While Tokyo Skytree is also stunning, Tokyo Tower exudes an elegant dignity that gives its charm a refined quality - making me feel compelled to photograph it time and again. I had an errand near Tokyo Station and took some nighttime photos around the Tokyo Station. As I was using an old camera, I set the ISO to 400 to minimize noise and paid close attention to avoid camera shake during the shoot. It felt very much like taking photographs with a classic film camera—which made the experience all the more enjoyable for me.   Tokyo Station is a major transportation hub situated in the heart of Japan’s capital, Tokyo, serving as a vital gateway for travelers from both within the country and abroad. Since its opening in 1914, the station has played a significant role in supporting the development of Japan’s economy and culture. The Marunouchi Station Building constructed with red brick is highly regarded for its dignified European-style architectural beauty. From my office, Tokyo Tower stood gracefully against the sky, so I couldn’t resist capturing the moment. Though Tokyo Skytree is impressive in its own right, I find myself drawn to the timeless elegance of Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Tower, located in Minato City, Tokyo, is a 333-meter-tall self-supporting steel structure and one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks. Completed in 1958, it was originally built to serve as a broadcasting tower for television and radio signals. The tower was designed by renowned architect Tachū Naitō, often referred to as the “Doctor of Towers.” While inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Tokyo Tower incorporates earthquake-resistant engineering unique to Japan. The construction took approximately one and a half years and involved over 220,000 workers.  Tokyo Tower features two observation decks: the Main Deck at 150 meters and the Top Deck at 250 meters. Took a photograph of the setting sun overlooking Hikarigaoka (Nerima Tokyo). The photo features vibrant colors with high saturation, thanks to the CCD sensor. Hikarigaoka is a lush, residential area located in the northern part of Nerima Ward.  The name "Hikarigaoka" is said to have been inspired by Nerima Ward's image of "a town of greenery and the sun." ​Although the rainy season has begun, the relentless heat and high humidity are taking a toll on my body. Amidst this, I came across some cool-looking hydrangea flowers and took photos of them.
