3rd May 2026: Spring Colors through My Family’s Eyes

Last time, I shared a collection of spring scenes from Johoku Park that I photographed myself. For this second post, I’ve gathered the photos taken by my wife and daughter.

The first 10 images were taken by my wife. Her photos capture roses in calm, gentle tones and flowers wrapped in soft light, as if they are quietly standing still. She has a way of drawing out the natural elegance and presence of each bloom, and her images carry a quietness that makes you breathe a little deeper as you look at them.

The next 10 images were taken by my daughter. She moves in close to vibrant flowers, focuses on the expressions of the buds, and boldly frames the colors in the background.

The excitement she feels in the moment—“This is so cute!”—is preserved just as it is, making her photos delightful to look at. Her curiosity, brightness, and youthful energy fill the entire frame.

As we walked through the same park, my wife quietly searched for beautiful light, my daughter went straight toward whatever caught her eye, and I followed the colors of the season while watching the two of them from the side.

Sharing the same time together as a family, and seeing how each of our perspectives remains in these photographs, made me realize once again how fortunate that is.

There’s a Starbucks in Rancho Palos Verdes (Los Angeles, CA) that I will never forget. Nestled right in front of the vast Pacific Ocean, it offers a breathtaking view that makes every sip of coffee feel like a moment of peace.  What made it truly special were the evenings—watching the sun slowly sink into the horizon, painting the ocean in shades of crimson and gold. I remember sitting there, completely immersed in the beauty, feeling time gently slow down. It’s been nearly twenty years since that visit, but the memory remains vivid in my heart. Yosemite National Park Taking a black-and-white photo like Ansel Adams who is one of my most favorite photographers. The park is about a five-hour drive from Los Angeles. It is located in the western part of the Sierra Nevada and covers an area of ​​about 3K square kilometers. It was designated a state park in 1864, a national park in 1890, and a UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Yosemite is America's second designated national park, it captivates visitors with its majesty, including giant granite cliffs, waterfalls, trees, and wildlife. Yosemite National Park has approximately 913 square kilometers of virgin forest and is home to more than 250 species of vertebrates, including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
