In 2024, Covent Garden in London was adorned with an enchanting array of Christmas decorations. The Market Building and its ceiling featured around forty oversized bells, twelve giant baubles, and eight spinning ornaments, creating a festive spectacle. At the heart of the Piazza stood a magnificent 55-foot (approximately 17-meter) Christmas tree, illuminated by 30,000 LED lights and decorated with traditional British ornaments.

Adding to the brilliance, Seven Dials and Neal’s Yard were illuminated with an additional 150,000 to 260,000 LED lights, bathing the entire area in a warm, radiant glow. Visitors were greeted by charming attractions such as an antique wooden sleigh from 1884, ski-lift-inspired photo spots, cozy drink stands, and the Covent Garden Chalet, all contributing to a welcoming and cheerful atmosphere.

Combining spectacular lights, festive music, inviting photo opportunities, and comforting seasonal drinks, Covent Garden’s 2024 Christmas celebration stood out as one of London’s most magical and worthwhile winter experiences.

There’s a Starbucks in Rancho Palos Verdes (Los Angeles, CA) that I will never forget. Nestled right in front of the vast Pacific Ocean, it offers a breathtaking view that makes every sip of coffee feel like a moment of peace.  What made it truly special were the evenings—watching the sun slowly sink into the horizon, painting the ocean in shades of crimson and gold. Sainte-Chapelle is a stunning Gothic-style chapel located on Île de la Cité in Paris, France. It was built in the 13th century by King Louis IX (Saint Louis) to house sacred relics, including the "Crown of Thorns" of Christ. Originally serving as a royal chapel, it is now world-famous for its breathtaking stained-glass windows. ​​​​​The chapel's most remarkable feature, as you can see in photographs, is its fifteen towering stained glass panels, each reaching a height of 15 meters. These windows depict 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments, with dominant shades of red, blue, and gold that create a mesmerizing play of light throughout the day. The morning sunlight, in particular, enhances their brilliance, making early visits highly recommended.
