Colors of My Heart

"Roman Holiday" is one of my favorite movies. I have always wanted to visit this place, and I finally got the chance to make that dream a reality.  I was deeply moved to be able to visit places I had only seen in the movie, such as the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and the Colosseum.  My visits to there  took place at night, but they became wonderful memories for me. I found myself wondering if this was the spot where Princess Anne ate gelato and where Joe tried to borrow a camera from a student. I was also overwhelmed by the Colosseum, which was built over 2,000 years ago.  Although my time there was limited, it became an unforgettable memory. ​​​​Next time, I would like to visit slowly with my family. Decorated the hina dolls in preparation for the Hina Matsuri. These dolls have been passed down from my wife to our daughter and have been with us for nearly half a century. Unlike more recent ones, they are mostly made of wood and metal, with very little plastic involved. Due to the aging process, some repairs are needed each time I set them up, but I want to cherish them and ensure they are passed down to the next generation. While it now takes about four hours to complete the setup, it took an entire day the first time I decorated them. Considering the limited space in Japanese homes, I think displaying a seven-tiered hina doll set is quite challenging. I hope to continue finding ways to set them up beautifully to suit our circumstances.
