2nd Mar 2025: Hina Matsuri (Japanese Girls' Festival) at the UK Home

Decorated the hina dolls in preparation for the Hina Matsuri. These dolls have been passed down from my wife to our daughter and have been with us for nearly half a century. Unlike more recent ones, they are mostly made of wood and metal, with very little plastic involved. Due to the aging process, some repairs are needed each time I set them up, but I want to cherish them and ensure they are passed down to the next generation.

While it now takes about four hours to complete the setup, it took an entire day the first time I decorated them. Considering the limited space in Japanese homes, I think displaying a seven-tiered hina doll set is quite challenging. I hope to continue finding ways to set them up beautifully to suit our circumstances.
