A Breath of Green in Spring Light - 10th May 2026

As I walked through Johoku Park in Nerima, where the fresh greenery was deepening by the day, the young leaves shimmered softly in the light, wrapping the entire park in a gentle veil of pale green. 

At my feet, clusters of blue‑violet violas were in full bloom, their tiny petals catching the morning sun and glimmering delicately. A little farther along, mountain laurel with white and pale pink hues was opening its star‑shaped blossoms, adding a quiet sense of depth against the backdrop of new foliage. 

In the flower beds, magenta dianthus swayed in the breeze, creating a rhythmic play of color. Each flower blended naturally into the season’s light and greenery while quietly expressing its own distinct shade. 

The photos I took this time capture the breath of spring in Johoku Park just as it was—small moments of color I gathered one by one as I walked.

    色取り取りで、春は花の季節を象徴していますね。
    其の流れで、最後の２枚、新緑は眼が休まり心地良いです。
    構成の勝利！。　;)

    The vibrant colors truly symbolize spring, the season of flowers.
    Following that theme, the last two images of fresh greenery are soothing and refreshing to the eye.

      最後の２枚は広角(16-35mm F4)で撮っています。それ以外の写真は70-200mmの望遠で絞り開放で撮っています。陽に照らされる新緑はとても清々しいです。鮮やかな花の写真も良いですが、新緑へのコメントを頂き、うれしいです！

      The last two photos were taken with a 16-35mm wide-angle lens, while the others were shot with a 70–200mm telephoto lens at wide open aperture. The fresh greenery illuminated by the sunlight feels very refreshing. Of course, vivid flower photographs are wonderful as well, but I am particularly pleased to receive your comments on the new greenery!

There’s a Starbucks in Rancho Palos Verdes (Los Angeles, CA) that I will never forget. Nestled right in front of the vast Pacific Ocean, it offers a breathtaking view that makes every sip of coffee feel like a moment of peace.  What made it truly special were the evenings—watching the sun slowly sink into the horizon, painting the ocean in shades of crimson and gold.
