/Home › › The Christ the Saviour Church The Christ the Saviour Church, located in the heart of Ealing, is a historic Church of England parish church completed in 1852. It is widely regarded as a notable example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture. Designed by the renowned architect Sir George Gilbert Scott—famous for works such as the St Pancras Hotel—the church is distinguished by its tall spire, intricate stonework, and elegantly elongated windows. During the Second World War, the neighboring St Saviour’s Church was destroyed in an air raid, and in 1951 the two parishes were united under the present name. The interior was enriched in the early twentieth century by G. F. Bodley, creating a space where grandeur and warmth coexist harmoniously. ​​​​​​Acton Park is a well-respected and loved public space in Ealing, West Lon don. It features a children's center, tennis courts, a pond, and a playground. The park is known for its mature trees and sunken garden. The park​ was opened to the public in 1888 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee (celebrating the 50th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne). The park is surrounded by large lawns with large mature trees planted in a radial pattern. There are many mature trees in the park, especially the magnificent plane trees. It is a lovely relaxing spot where many people come for walks on weekends.​​​​​​ There is a parking space around the park. You can also go to the park by train in a one-minute walk from Acton Central station. ​​​ When I visited, the autumn leaves were well past their peak. It is a spacious green area located in the Acton district of West London, serving as a hub for both sports and community activities. Within the site stands the North Acton Pavilion, a popular community facility frequently used for cultural events, parties, and classes.  Visitors can also enjoy a café, landscaped gardens, picnic areas, and playgrounds for children, making it a welcoming destination for families.  Convenient transport links are provided by nearby West Acton Station and Acton Main Line, ensuring easy access.
