12th Oct 2011: The Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai China

Image
While I was on a business trip in Shanghai, China, I unexpectedly had some free time and decided to take a walk around the city. Since I didn’t have my camera at the time, I purchased an Olympus VG-140 from a local camera shop on short notice.  The Oriental Pearl Tower, located in the Pudong district of Shanghai, China, is a striking television tower that stands 468 meters tall. Completed in 1994, it is renowned for its futuristic design, featuring a series of spheres inspired by a classical Chinese poem.  Inside the tower, visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions including observation decks, a revolving restaurant, a museum showcasing Shanghai’s urban history, and immersive VR experiences.  The observation areas are divided into three main levels: the upper sphere at 350 meters, the middle sphere at 263 meters, and the lower sphere at 90 meters. Depending on which levels you choose to visit, ticket prices vary.  Both the middle and lower spheres offer access to o...

7th Sep 2011: Autumn Waltz at Showa Memorial Park

Image
While photographing cosmos flowers at Showa Memorial Park, there were many butterflies and dragonflies flying around. Since I used a telephoto lens without a tripod, it was quite challenging to avoid camera shake.  I tried to capture the feeling of autumn by softly blurring the cosmos flowers in the background.   Olympus E-5 / Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5 SWD / 1/800s / F3.5 / ISO100 / - 0.3   Olympus E-5 / Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5 SWD / 1/2000s / F3.5 / ISO100 / - 0.3   Olympus E-5 / Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5 SWD / 1/1000s / F3.5 / ISO100 / + 0.3   Olympus E-5 / Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5 SWD / 1/400s / F3.5 / ISO100 / + 0.3 Olympus E-5 / Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5 SWD / 1/125s / F3.5 / ISO100 / + 0.3 Olympus E-5 / Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5 SWD / 1/200s / F3.5 / ISO100 / + 0.7 Participating in the ranking If you think the content is good, please click and follow. 気に入っていただけましたら応援よろしくお願い致します。 に...

27th July 2011: Sunflowers at Showa Memorial Park

Image
These sunflower photos were taken 14 years ago. I still vividly remember how extremely hot it was on the day of the shoot—I was sweating as I captured each shot.  Seeing the sunflowers in full bloom, soaking up the sunlight and radiating energy, made me feel that I, too, must not be defeated by the heat.  Just like those sunflowers, I’ll do my best to stay strong and thrive through the summer heat again this year!     Olympus E-5 / Zuiko ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5  SWD / 1/250s / F3.5 / ISO100 / +0.7     Olympus E-5 / Zuiko ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5  SWD / 1/320s / F3.5 / ISO100 / +0.7     Olympus E-5 / Zuiko ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5  SWD / 1/200s / F3.5 / ISO100 / +0.7     Olympus E-5 / Zuiko ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5  SWD / 1/500s / F3.4 / ISO100 / +0.7 Participating in the ranking If you think the content is good, please click and follow. 気に入っていただけましたら応援よろしくお願い致します。 にほんブログ村 にほんブログ村
