23rd June 2025: Tokyo Tower One of the most iconic landmarks in Tokyo

Image
From my office, Tokyo Tower stood gracefully against the sky, so I couldn’t resist capturing the moment. Though Tokyo Skytree is impressive in its own right, I find myself drawn to the timeless elegance of Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Tower, located in Minato City, Tokyo, is a 333-meter-tall self-supporting steel structure and one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks. Completed in 1958, it was originally built to serve as a broadcasting tower for television and radio signals. The tower was designed by renowned architect Tachū Naitō, often referred to as the “Doctor of Towers.” While inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Tokyo Tower incorporates earthquake-resistant engineering unique to Japan. The construction took approximately one and a half years and involved over 220,000 workers.  Tokyo Tower features two observation decks: the Main Deck at 150 meters and the Top Deck at 250 meters. The Top Deck was renovated in 2018 and now offers a futuristic atmosphere with LED lighting and mirrored surf...

22nd June 2025: Twilight in Tokyo

Took a photograph of the setting sun overlooking Hikarigaoka (Nerima Tokyo). The photo features vibrant colors with high saturation, thanks to the CCD sensor. Hikarigaoka is a lush, residential area located in the northern part of Nerima Ward.  The name "Hikarigaoka" is said to have been inspired by Nerima Ward's image of "a town of greenery and the sun." 20th June 2025: Hydrangea Flowers in Nerima Tokyo

Image
Although the rainy season has begun, the relentless heat and high humidity are taking a toll on my body. Amidst this, I came across some cool-looking hydrangea flowers and took photos of them. Thanks to the green leaves and the violet, white, and blue petals of the flowers, which are cool-toned, I was able to momentarily forget about the scorching heat. Nikon D40x / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR / 1/60s / F5.6 / ISO 400 / 0.0 Nikon D40x / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR / 1/80s / F5.6 / ISO 400 / 0.0 Nikon D40x / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR / 1/160s / F5.6 / ISO 400 / 0.0 Nikon D40x / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR / 1/100s / F5.6 / ISO 400 / 0.0 Nikon D40x / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR / 1/15s / F4.5 / ISO 400 / 0.0 Nikon D40x / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR / 1.3s / F4.5 / ISO 400 / 0.0 Participating in the ranking If you think the content is good, please click and follow. 気に入っていただけましたら応援よろしくお願い致します。 にほんブログ村 にほんブログ村

15th June 2025: Verdant Hue

Image
June marks the beginning of the rainy season in Tokyo. The persistent heat and humidity each day have been quite tough on my body. Today, I happened to notice a maple leaf, and its cool, vibrant green felt incredibly refreshing and beautiful. When autumn arrives, those same leaves transform into brilliant shades of red, delighting everyone with their stunning colors. 14th June 2025: Nikon D40x, My Little Nikon

Image
While tidying up my moving stuffs, I found my old camera! It is a Nikon D40x, a model that was released in 2007 (Actually purchased on 23rd June 2007). The camera features a 10.2-megapixel sensor, a 3-point focus area, and an ISO maximum of 1600. Compared to the latest models, it may seem somewhat underwhelming, but it is a camera that holds many precious memories, as I gifted it to my wife as the first her DSLR. Today, for the first time in 15 years, I decided to give it a try pairing with an 18-140mm VR lens. It was difficult to take pictures with the old camera, but it felt like I was taking pictures carefully one by one with film in the old days, and it was a lot of fun. I plan to continue cherishing this camera as my go-to tool for leisurely walks in the future. The flower photos were taken in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture.
